The oldest church in the Valley, interesting edge - the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The history of the building of the church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary
There was a church in 1426, but has experienced many restorations and offsets, so that today it has a completely different look. Wooden church burned down in 1594 due to arson Tatars. On the same spot in 1674 was built a new church.
Dolinskiy church, according to the documents, was in very poor condition, and until 1825 no one did his recovery, so it was decided to rebuild the house again, but this place is chosen in another part of the city. The construction of the stone church under the name of "Christmas of the Virgin Mary "which can be enjoyed, and now accounts for 1835. The priest blessed the construction of Thomas Lewandowski.
The architecture of the church
The building has a single nave church, constructed in the Gothic style with a total length of 34 meters and a width of 14 meters. Entrance to the church is punctuated by a tower, which is based on two powerful rectangular room. In one built staircase leading to a spacious balcony, where previously there was a body in another arranged boiler and storage. The staircase continues to the middle of the tower.
The outer walls are decorated with semi-columns of square section. The altar was huge, it, like the body was moved from the old church. Today, unfortunately, the body is lost. The foundation was laid with the construction of river stone, mostly round, which is laid out in a trench without adhesives. Actually, this work reminded of itself in the third year of life. In 1889, the strengthening of the work performed, completed the main tower, enlarged windows of the church and set the clock.
Church consecrated priest Franciszek de Paula Pishtekom, Metropolitan of Lviv. In 1934 he resumed painting on the walls, and with the help of the legate priest Zaremba Murovani built bell tower. In 1944 the church was closed, but in 1992 again took up the restoration work. And in the new millennium came a renewed church.
