Basovskaya Park
Basivskyy park was built in the early 19th century. He was part of country ownership wife landowner of Brigadier General P. Shterychevoyi.
History park
Conventionally Basivskyy park in Sumy can be divided into two parts - western and eastern. The western part is a bit "younger": at the beginning of last century planted pine forest park culture. The eastern part is the remains of the former palace and park ensemble Ms Shterychevoyi that began to build in the early 19th century. Here there are broad leaved trees.
In the center of the country estate was a two-story palace in pseudo-style. Also housed in the park fountain, home Church of the Ascension and gazebo. Not far from the house was a fruit garden.
Current state park
Many buildings Basivskoho park not survived to this day. Manor landowner Shterychevoyi experienced numerous restructuring, and fire restoration. Now in its premises located TB clinics hospital.
Unfortunately, many old trees were destroyed during the hurricane of 1957. But old-timers among trees preserved centennial pines, oaks, which for 200-250 years, 150-year-old Tilia cordata.

Basivskyy park is situated on the southeastern outskirts of Sanitation Sum Street, on the banks of the river Psel.
