Sculpture Guerrilla raid
The history of our region knows many heroic people whose deeds have changed the course of events. One such event is dedicated to sculpture "Guerrilla Raid" in the city of Sumy . The monument is located in the central square area of the Intercession.
"Guerrilla Raid" - a sculpture dedicated to the Soviet partisan movement in Western Ukraine. The guerrilla movement was organized during World War II to fight the Nazis. Author of the composition - artist and architect Mikhail Lysenko. The sculpture was installed in Sumy in 2009.
The composition consists of several parts. Five guerrillas through the mountains and dirt on four horses pulling an anti-aircraft unit. Their faces no trace of fear. The sculpture is filled with strength and hope. If you want to know what a hard life was in the partisans, you should only look at this sculpture.
How to get there
Before the park can be reached by bus number 2 and tram number 1 and 5. Stop - "Intercession area." Further, should go to the left to the alley sculptures.
