History of Art Gallery

In 1974 he opened an art department of the museum named after AV Suvorov. More than 15 years collecting the current director of the museum collection EN Yevdokimov. On the basis of the collected material 1 August 1987 has been opened Izmail Art Gallery art museum as a department of Odessa.

In 1994, the gallery was transformed into a separate State Museum II category in the exposition of which more than 5000 works. Each year, the fund is classified and studied. The museum is continuously conducted research work. Opened new departments.
