State Polytechnical Museum
Well-known establishment at the National Technical University of Ukraine - State Polytechnic Museum in Kiev . The opening was timed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of KPI. The museum is housed in one of the buildings of the university is its structural unit.
In 7 halls of exhibits collected various areas of science and technology not only Ukraine but the whole world.
History museum
Technical Museum appeared in the capital in 1998. In forming the exposure of institutions involved all Departments. An important contribution to the creation and development of the museum department staff made history. Since 2002, the department became the State Polytechnic Museum at KPI.
Since 2001, the museum began to conduct a series of scientific readings "Outstanding designers." It regularly gather students, scientists, technical intelligence and advice.
In 2008, the restored building aircraft and automobile workshops department opened a museum dedicated Sikorsky - "History of Air and Space."
Exhibits Polytechnic Museum
Collection of state institutions is very rich. Seven halls with a total area of 1.5 square kilometers gathered at least 10 thousand exhibits. Here are a collection of different directions.
Among the important is to provide materials from areas:
- electronics, radio engineering;
- instrumentation and mechanical engineering;
- telecommunications;
- computer science;
- Air and Space.
Quite unique is the exhibition of military communications technology and small arms.
A separate room museum dedicated to the history of the KPI. Among the exhibits are:
- documents and materials;
- Foundation alumni;
- personal belongings professors and teachers.
Particularly noteworthy are rare exhibits, slide rule and drawing instruments that belonged to Queen student - designer of the first artificial satellites and spacecraft. Also, the list includes pre-revolutionary diploma graduates and layout turbojet engine.
Some of the most interesting exhibits are:
- tube radio in 1917;
- One of the first Soviet TV "KVN-49";
- color projection television, which in 1985 in Ukraine was only 6 pieces;
- telephones 30s and 50s of the 20th century;
- digital electronic computer "Ray";
- PC "Neuron".

State Polytechnic Museum is located in Kiev on Victory Avenue, 37, building 6. You can get almost any transport. The nearest metro station "Polytechnic Institute".
Hours: 9:00 to 16:30, weekends - Saturday and Sunday. Some exhibits (aircraft, engine, helicopter, etc.). Located on the street because they can see at any time.
