Church of John the Theologian in Ivano-empty is an architectural monument of national importance. The first mention of it appeared in the 18th century. The temple is a work of folk architecture school Podolsk.

Different sources indicate different time creating wooden church. According to some sources, its construction accounts for 1763, on the other - in the 1775-th. Locals claim that the church was brought from the neighboring village Hermakivka. Next to the building in 1775, there was a wooden tower.

In the late 19th century the church was restored somewhat, to the altar sacristy was added to the nave - babinets. For this period the church joined the list of architectural monuments.

1970 bell tower burned in the 90s of the 20th century thanks to the Greek Catholic community was current two-tiered wooden belfry.

In 1980 he made the interior painting. The authors were J. and C. Burda Mamchur.

It is unknown in which period it was added a small vestibule. Near its walls today you can see the old stone cross.

Most of the walls of the building obbyly over-head buckle, and in 1997 the local peasants dedicated a new stone church of John the Theologian. All church domes peaks with high steeples with crosses, and the walls remain in over-head with open log beams.
