Medical Library of Ukraine, Kiev

National Scientific Medical Library - the largest scientific and information agency of Ukraine. It specializes in the field of medicine and health, provides bibliographic, information service for students, faculty, medical schools and medical practitioners conducting medical research. The institution was founded November 6, 1930. The library is available in the scale of the building footprint (2975 sq. M.) Since 1969. Decree of President Viktor Yushchenko in 2006 was awarded the status of a national library.

Number of employees institution employs 177 people. Structure of the Library consists of 18 units. The reason for pride is a considerable literature fund medical and biological areas - more than 1.5 million allowances, which allows the institution to be in the library list with the largest fund of this literature in Europe. Rich fund of literature is the cultural heritage of the country.

Each year, the services of institutions are turning over 72 thousand medical workers. National Scientific Medical Library collaborates with libraries and educational institutions in Europe and America, it is also the center of a network of similar libraries of medical direction in Ukraine.

The library is open on weekdays and Saturdays.
