Exhibition of the young icon painter Michael Osprey called "Church militant" will be open to all comers in Lviv Palace of Arts until March 29, 2015.
This is the fifth solo exhibition of the artist, the exhibition which will make the work performed in the technique of Ukrainian medieval iconography, full of personal experiences, the Gospel story and dialogue with modernity. Continuing the tradition of Ukrainian art, each artist his work seeks to achieve the effect of presence and emotional contact with the audience.
The idea of the exhibition:
"Church militant" - apocalyptic story of the Battle of the heavenly army, the Church militant, with Semiglav dragon and his horde.
The artist draws an analogy with the struggle of the Ukrainian people, warring against the two-headed snake Moscow who wants to seize the world and rise above God. But hidden in symbols and hidden letters, this topic does not violate the initiation and timelessness of images rather complements their national values and faith in the victory of truth. After all, the spiritual front should not lag behind the military front.
