240 years of Krivoy Rog: exhibition of paintings, vintage photographs and antiques, Dnipro

Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum named after DI Yavornytsky invites everyone from 3 April to visit the exhibition on the history of the city of Krivoy Rog.

The exhibition marks the 240th anniversary of the establishment of the post office, the appearance of which the 70-ies of the last century, considered the founding date of Krivoy Rog. The exhibition will feature pieces from private collections, paintings and reproductions Nicholas Riabokon photos Eduard Fuchs, illustrating the historical past of Krivoy Rog.

The modern city will be presented the works of the famous photographer panoramic Basil Gelevachuk. Exposition within two months will introduce visitors to the thorny historical path traversed by our city from a small village to a major industrial and industrial center and began with the opening in the bowels Kryvorizhzhya iron ore deposits.

Some of the exhibits krivorozhane may have seen on local exhibitions "Greetings from Krivoy Rog", "Krivoy Rog coal mine area in the early twentieth century," and "In Memory of Edward Fuchs", which took place in 2013-2014.

The exhibition is organized with the support of the public organization "Club shanuvalnikіv starovini" Dnepropetrovsk branch of the National Union of Ukraine and the promotion of local historians Krivoy Rog National University.
