The National History and Ethnography Reserve

100 km from the hustle and bustle of the capital, in the shade of trees, located real cradle of Ukrainian culture. National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve "Perejaslav" is one of the biggest in the country. And it's safe to say that it best reflects the life of the residents of the Ukrainian village. 

History of the reserve began with the city museum of local lore, who in 1951 took only three rooms in the house of a friend of Taras Shevchenko. In 1979 on the basis of this museum was created over 25 years, appeared National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve "Perejaslav."

Within the reserve are 25 museums, which are stored 166,000 items reflecting different stages in the history of the Ukrainian people. Visitors have the opportunity to visit the homes of the ancestors of Ukrainians, wooden churches, manors of the poor, the middle peasants and prosperous farmer, blacksmith shop, workshop tanner. You can also see how the yard looked postal and consider windmills located on the reserve. 

It is also interesting that here on the river Supoy was found Stone Age, a unique reminder of the past.

Draws its originality and uniqueness of the Museum of Architecture and Life of the Middle Dnieper, which is directly under the open sky. He collected 30 acres 13 thematic museums, organically merged together. Here are 185 objects, 104 of which - the folk architecture of 18-19 centuries. The museum displays 20,000 works of folk art, tools and household items. Decoration of the museum are two picturesque pond, amazing park, which grow tens of thousands of trees and bushes, these "live" courtyards and gardens. 

Each museum - it's a real house that still breathes the past and continues its leisurely existence. Museum exhibits give an idea of life joiner, blacksmith, beekeeper, Herbalist, poor man, potter, weaver and cooper. 

The museum can trace the history of grain farming formation from ancient times to modern days. The cathedral has a monumental diorama "Bukrinsky bridgehead", depicting the famous battle of the Great Patriotic War. On the canvas, a width of 28 meters and height - 7 meters in 1975 was depicted Soviet offensive near Kiev. Artists painted images directly from soldiers involved in the battle, so all the people in the picture are real.
