Verstova Mylia Obelisk

Obelisk "verstovyh Mile" was built in 1789. His appearance is due to the visit of the Russian Empress Catherine II. It is believed that this is only one of verstovyh miles that were arranged during the trip on the Empress of Little Russia. There is also another version of the appearance of the plaque - the obelisk was erected in honor of laying the Transfiguration Cathedral. Anyway, verstovyh miles remains one of the most interesting historical places of Dnipropetrovsk.

Near the obelisk you can see such sights as Savior Transfiguration Cathedral , a monument to Dmitry Yavornytsky and monument to General Yefim Pushkin .
