Kolos Cinema (Building of the first theatre of Poltava)
Educational house for the name of Nikolai Gogol in Poltava, was built in 1901. Building in the neo-Renaissance style was built by St. Petersburg architect of the Directorate of the Imperial Theatres Alexei Trambitsky. During World War II, Poltava House Education was destroyed. Later restored in its original form and adapted for the cinema.
In all periods of its existence, the cinema remained the center of the cultural life of Poltava. Modern "Kolos" is 3D-movie theater, is a 10-minute walk from Hull garden .
