Nativity of the Virgin Church, Khmilnyk
Theotokos is located on the outskirts of the city Khmelnik at one of the banks of the Bug River. About the history of the temple is not much known. Earlier this place has wooden church that burned down in 1804 during a fire.
In 1807, at the expense of the residents of the city began construction of a new church. It lasted 3 years and in 1810 was inaugurated. The construction cost of 2,300 rubles. After 55 years, in 1865, near the temple at the behest of a local official Pluzhinskogo and its funds were built out 2 more rooms. 2 years later was lengthened iconostasis. Subsequently, it was damaged by lightning which struck the dome of the altar.
Several years ago, on 30 September, in the temple held celebrations in honor of his bicentenary. Vinnitsa archbishop was held solemn liturgy, and rector awarded diplomas Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir.
