St Mykolay Church, Kotiuzhany

Nicholas Church in the village Kotyuzhany is a dilapidated building, the construction of which date back to the early 18th century. Speaking of the church, is meant a small bell tower, surviving after 300 years of testing. Structure have not restored, and it requires a major overhaul. However, the bell tower is well preserved and is a listed building.

It was erected in 1701 in a restrained classical style with arched windows and a high tower. The building has two full floors with a dome and a cross on top. Bell was heard at a distance of tens of kilometers. For many years, the bell tower was the tallest structure in the village.

Today Nicholas Church belongs to the most important sights of the area. These also include the beautiful Neo-Renaissance palace, which was built by General Tsenin tsarist army and named in honor of his wife. Impressive manor palace architecture with beautifully preserved and continues to impress guests coming in Kotyuzhany.
