Joseph of Nazareth Cathedral

In the heart of the Vinnitsa region, in the beautiful town with an interesting history - Nemiroff, there is a large church with a solemn exterior - Joseph the Betrothed church. Its majestic facade is easy to see even from very distant streets. Even during the Soviet Union, this building was one of the most remarkable in the city. There were large-scale conferences with foreign guests and important city holidays.

The history of the temple began in the 16-17th centuries, when his place was a wooden Christian church. Presumably, the building has suffered from a severe fire, so in 1801 it was decided to erect a church of the capital with high towers. By the time of the completion of the tower in the church were the most noticeable around the Nemiroff. Today, they set the synchronous clock - one of the most distinctive features of Catholic churches.

In recent years, the building was restored globally, after the period of the mid-20th century, when it was used as a local cultural center. Unfortunately, the interior of the church not survived in its original form, but it was reduced with great diligence. Now it is one of the finest architectural monuments of the region.
