St George`s Church, Berestechko

St. George`s Church - an architectural monument of national importance. It was built on the centenary of the Battle of Berestechko in 1761. Temple is located on a hill above the river Styr. The church is completely built out of wood and painted in sky blue color.

In Soviet times, despite the national trend, the church was not subject to any changes. Painting survives to this day in its original form, was not damaged and interior of the church. Service was resumed in the 1970s. In the church was returned to the iconostasis, which is all the time kept in Lutsk .

In 2011, the church celebrated its 250th anniversary: ​​a solemn service was held, it`s a lot of citizens.
