Church of St. Nicholas (Bobrka)
Through a small town in the Lviv region called Bobrka drives everyone who is sent from Lviv to Ivano-Frankivsk , but guests linger here too often. This city has a long history, the first written mention of it dates back to 1211 year. The unusual name probably comes from the beaver hunters who were in the area hunting for waterfowl animals. In Bobrka survived several ancient buildings, the most interesting of which is undoubtedly the church of St. Nicholas.
According to the evidence found, a Renaissance church in this town originated in 1402 thanks to nobleman Zawisza the Black, who was legendary Polish knight. Unfortunately, the church could not stand for too long, and during one of the Tatar attacks was burned. For the reconstruction of the church took only 1547-1548 years, but due to another Tatar attack Bobrka burned, along with the city and the temple disappeared.
When a new church is not known. However, it is safe to say that in 1771 it was consecrated under the title of St. Nicholas, and in the years 1914-1922 started a major reconstruction. Contrary to all the events of the church survived. To date, the Church of St. Nicholas is considered an outstanding work of Galician architectural school and maintained his recovery.
