Church of St. Francis (Rozluch)
In the village Rozluch Lviv region is one of the most exotic plants in Ukraine. Church of St. Francis of almost unknown, but is one of the eleven now existing wooden churches of Lviv of the first half of the 20th century.
At a time when the territory of Western Ukraine belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Germans settled in Rozluch Schwaben. The settlers quickly got accustomed to the new territory. They do traditional yourself crafts, agricultural activities and built a wooden chapel here.
Temple of St. Francis was built in the early 20th century on the funds that the local community gathered together with the Brotherhood «Boni Pastoris». The initiator of construction became Ignatius Kulakovskii. Upon completion of construction works before the eyes of the congregation presented itself sacral building in neo-Gothic style, which was undoubtedly the ornament Turkovskaya parish.
Church of St. Francis is a unique example of wooden temples odnobashennyh German colonists. This shrine - one of a kind, nowhere else in the whole of Ukraine. She is one of the few preserved in its original form with authentic elements. Today, the church is not functioning, it blackens, dies in his eyes and did not even have an address. To visit the gothic pearl of the Carpathians, lived out his life, you need to move to the railway bridge from the village center. After passing under the bridge, turn left and there, behind the mountain river, you can see the church of St. Francis.
