Church Svtogo Spirit (clay)

Clay - a small town in the Lviv region with a special spiritual atmosphere. In the clay is several outstanding spiritual shrines that attract tourists and pilgrims not only from Ukraine, but also neighboring countries. One of these temples with interesting unique history is the Church of the Holy Spirit of the 18th century.

The wooden Roman Catholic church was built and consecrated in the distant 1397. Stone temple built during the years 1791-1831, first in the early Classical style, but later it was partially rebuilt in neo-baroque style. Since the 40s of the 20th century to 1995, due to various historical events, the church did not function, and served as a warehouse. It was only in 2000, the church of the Holy Spirit has been renovated and re-consecrated. The temple is famous for its unique icons and images.

Clay, in particular the Church of the Holy Spirit - a unique place for an interesting and spiritual journey in the past century. Also, many pilgrims and tourists go to clay, to visit the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin.
