Museum of recyclables

One of the most original and unusual museums in Kiev. It is situated on the territory of the plant "Kievgorvtorresursy." Age museum`s collection of more than 70 years, and she began to form in 1943. For many years, people have donated things that, in their opinion, were unnecessary and of no value, but over the years, these antiques were the basis of the original collection. Official the status of the museum received only in September 2007.

The museum is divided into two exhibition halls. The first is in the building of the plant, and the second in its territory, just under the open sky. The museum`s collection is very rich, there are such interesting objects as the pre-war baby stroller, baby walkers, by which children learn to walk back to the 17th century, antique sleigh and machines for processing hemp.

Also the exposition, which is dedicated to the Soviet time. Presented ancient agricultural tools: wooden plows, wheelbarrows, tools carpenter. Another gem of the museum`s collection - the first hairdresser: iron scissors, hair curlers, the first shaving and even the old hair dryer, they are stored in a special iron suitcase. The museum staff are very proud of the collection of ancient icons, which was collected from all over Ukraine and several times even wanted to buy back into private ownership.

Visit the museum at any day from 09:00 to 18:00, except Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free. The nearest metro station - left bank.
