Telbin Lake

Lake Telbin referred to Kievan Rus. On its shore while farm was located Zatelbin Bereznyak through which ran the path of pilgrims in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra .

Its name, according to one version, the lake was the word "talbiyah", which means "old channel". But once, during the spring floods, the lake was connected with the mighty Dnieper.

In the 19th century, right in the center of the lake and built a paved mound railway, dividing it into two parts. 100 years later around Telbin grown alluvial Berezniaky residential area and began an active construction site. From the former area of ​​the pond there are only 40%.

Continuing Christian traditions of the past, in this picturesque place were built three churches and the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin and the Annunciation. Lake left a mark in the history of cinema: in 1986 there was filmed "The End of the holidays" of Victor Tsoy and group "Kino".

Despite the massive development, the lake is considered large. Its area is more than 12 hectares, and the depth is 13 meters. Through an extensive system of streams and underground springs that feed the lake water, it is very clean and transparent. Telbin has the shape of a boomerang. Spacious coastal strip of 11 hectares is used as a recreational area. Around this natural reservoir stretches cozy city park with lots of trees, flowering shrubs and manicured flower beds. Is also equipped with comfortable beach for entrance ramps. Here you can have a great time: rent a boat, a snack in a small cafe, just dive and enjoy the sun.

Frequent guests are Telbin and fishermen, because in its waters live bream, carp, carp, carp, carp, perch and pike.

Today Telbin Lake - one of the few environmentally friendly waters, relaxing on the shore of which love to residents and guests of the capital.
