Museum, Horol

In 1917 he built the first folk museum, which was   organized Horol ethnographer V. Biryukov. After a while it was closed for unknown reasons. In a historic building in the early 20th century, namely in 1995 was the exposition, which is now the local architectural monument.

Geological images, diorama and stuffed animals presented in the department of nature, attract further study of history. Stone tools, pottery and ancient weapons collected in the archaeological collection, amaze visitors with its diversity. Exhibited folk costumes, rural interior of the hut and artefacts of the time have been recreated in the Department of Ethnography.

Also on display in the museum diorama "Khorolskaya pit" - the so-called death camp, a memorial which is located in the same Horol.
