St. Basil`s Council of Bishops

St. Basil`s Council of Bishops - a new cathedral on the map of modern Zaporozhye .   The cathedral reaches 53 m, the experts call it a truly one of the most beautiful cathedrals of the country.

Before the October Revolution on the site of what is now built the cathedral, the old temple was located before. His sketches were found in the archives of St. Petersburg. Architect Dmitry Romanov studied all found materials, analyzed the centuries-old experience of church design and recreated   St. Basil`s Cathedral, located on Cathedral Square Alexandrovska in 19-20 centuries in its original form. Historians and experts believe the construction of the Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral beginning of the era of restoration of the historic center of Zaporozhye. The plans exist and reconstruction of the nearby buildings.

Sanctify the Holy Virgin Cathedral in October 2007, the anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Nazis, as well as All-Ukrainian Day of Zaporozhye Cossacks. Today continues to actively painted interior of the church.
