Museum, Priluky

One of the oldest museum centers in Ukraine museum in Pryluky . He collected various attractions of the region: the archaeological, artistic, natural, ethnographic and many others. 1. The museum was founded on December 21 in 1919 as a county museum Pryluky region. The first time the exhibition was located in a former hotel on city streets Kiev.
2. In 1930 the museum was renamed the Prilutsky regional and transported to facilities already closed by the time Sretenskaya church.
3. Shortly before Pryluky occupation by German troops in 1941, the most valuable exhibits were hidden its then director Sergei Kochukom, allowing survived and were taken to Germany.
4. In 1953, much of the collection was transferred to the Galaganov Chernihiv Regional Art Museum.
5. In autumn 2008 the museum moved to the old two-storey mansion, former home of the Mayor of Pryluky I. Kyslovskoho.

The exhibition museum

The basis of the exhibition was the private collection of the Palace Galaganov in Sokyryntsi, nationalized by the Soviet authorities and taken out in Pryluky. Collection Galaganov was large and diverse, included paintings by famous artists:

• Ivan Aivazovsky;
• Leo Zhemchuzhnikov;
• Basil Sternberg;
• Mikhail Klodt.

Also, the collection includes:

• icons;
• prints;
• bronze and marble;
• handmade furniture;
• weapon 17-19 centuries.

At this time the exposition consists of several thematic sections:

• archaeological;
• historical;
• artistic;
• ethnographic.

The pride of the museum became a department of flora and fauna. It represented the largest and one of the best in Chernihiv collection of wild animals, birds and insects. All stuffed performed best taxidermists - masters of their craft.

In addition to the extensive collection of decorative art, the museum also formed an interesting art collection, opened Pryluky history department. The most interesting exhibits are:
