Carmelite Monastery dell`Ordine

Carmelite Monastery is located in the city Terebovlya Ternopil region. To build the monastery began in the 17th century, and in the years 1635-1639 was built church, which became the main building of the monastery.
In 1672, when war broke out between the Commonwealth and the Ottoman Empire, the Carmelite Monastery was robbed and destroyed. In 1724 there were built new towers with defensive end, and a wall was built with new gates. By the mid-18th century convent of the Carmelite Order is fully formed. Now he had a church, the cell and the bell tower, which were surrounded by defensive towers.
The interior, which we can see today, building acquired in the middle of the 18th century. During the Soviet era, the monastery was closed, and instead it opened a factory for the production of Christmas decorations. Since 1990, he was transferred to the ownership of Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
