Mikulinetsky Castle

Mikulinetsky castle was built in 1550 on a hill near the river Siret and served as a defensive structure Sieniawska princes in the 16th century. Then the castle owned by nobles and aristocrats Zbarazhsky Ljubomirsky. It was enlarged and renovated in the 40s of the 17th century. In the 19th century the castle was remodeled magnate Konopka. It was opened cloth factory. Of the four towers on the corners of buildings, only two survived. In the courtyard are residential and farm buildings, some of them survived.
In the early 20th century, the castle had Mikulinetskim Countess Yu Rey. With her she lives her mistress, Anna, who stayed in the castle after the death of the hostess and her son`s death. Nowadays, the residential buildings of the castle has a daughter Anna.
The building is an architectural monument. It is the only in Ukraine residential medieval castle. It It is one of the National reserve "Castles of Ternopil."
