Castle Potocki, Gold Stream
Potocki Castle was built in the central part of the village of Golden Stream in the 17th century Polish nobleman Stefan Potocki at the intersection of trade routes from Galicia in Moldova.
The castle is located on a small hill in the valley. Tatar. Landmark built of granite sandstone. Castle walls and towers contain holes for shooting. The height of the wall is 10 meters and the thickness - 2 meters. For more strengthen the protection of the building was surrounded by a moat. For the fortified walls was built one-storey palace with a courtyard view, located near the business premises and the well, which is connected with the legend of the origin of the name of the Golden Stream. They say that during the long siege of the castle defenders thirsty found a source, called the "golden".
Three Turkish troops seized the castle, but each time it was rebuilt. Potocki lived in it until the end of the 17th century. Throughout its history, the castle changed several owners. During the Soviet period in the castle by a public service and workshops.
Today attractions are in ruins.
