Church of Our Lady

The village is first mentioned in documents in 1475 under the name Shybalyn . In 1625, almost all the buildings of the village were burnt during the Tatar invasions. Surviving residents started to rebuild homes and way of life, so the village got a second life.
The village Shybalyn Ternopil region will be interesting for tourists thanks to the Mother of God Church of Perpetual Help. Laid temple in 1925 on the money of local nobles J. Potocki and S. Vishnevetzkogo. Altar produced J. Wojtowicz. In 1932, on his own project added two master`s church near the building. Even after 7 years completed the temple side of the altar of St. Francis.
The church opened its doors to worshipers in 1928, and 17 years later was closed. With the advent of Soviet power the church was closed and in the main room staged a warehouse. Today, the church is not used and gradually fell into disrepair.
