The building watermill "Green Mlynok"

Mill rotunda is a very unusual building circular shape, is located on the banks of the River Tyasmin in Kamenka (Cherkassy region). The mill was built by two masters from Kaluga in 1825 commissioned by the local landowner Davydov. It is located in a beautiful little park and was intended for secret meetings of the Decembrists.

According to some sources, the mill has a fairly significant historical importance, since it was negotiated influential people of the uprising. But due to the fact that classified information came to Joseph Sherwood (non-commissioned officer of the regiment three separate special purpose entities), which is overheard conversations conspirators, Emperor Alexander I learned of their plans. It is believed that this was one of the reasons for the failure of the uprising. Mill played this role.

Water Mill is located in the estate of the landowner Davydova and is a complex Kamensky State Historical and Cultural Reserve. The building was awarded the honorary title of an architectural monument.
