Historical and architectural complex "Residence of Bohdan Khmelnytsky"

This complex is located in Chyhyryn Cherkasy region. It was created in order to preserve the history and perpetuate the memory of the Ukrainian Cossacks, its development and the rule of Grand Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. The residence contains a huge collection of Cossack weapons and clothing, badges and medals of the 17th century. The complex is represented recreated buildings, the entrance to the residence of the hetman Khmelnytsky. The premises are fortified buildings Hetman house, the office of Zaporizhia troops treasury coffers and smoking Cossack Cossack guards. All the buildings are surrounded by a defensive wall, which is located at the entrance of the tower guards.

More and more residence attracts new visitors. Exposure, which are represented in it, carry a great value, telling about the life of Bogdan Khmelnitsky in the history of Ukraine. Tourists visiting the residence, to know not only the history of the Cossacks, but also the life of the hetman. In 2011, the Supreme Council of Ukraine, taking into account the important historical role Chyhyryn city, as the city is a cultural heritage, adopted a decree on the celebration of its 500th anniversary.
