Church of the Transfiguration, Moshny

Count Vorontsov money in the purse was built Church of the Transfiguration. Appearance of the building resembles a church, although its construction were taken into account all the nuances of the Orthodox architecture. Style is difficult to determine, it is a mixture of some oriental motifs and Tudor Gothic. The task of the architect was to unite the world`s religions in the same building.

Exterior view of the church echoes the Vorontsov Palace in Alupka , but it also contains stained glass windows, pointed arches of the windows, numerous towers and dome. If you look at the church from above, the eyes gaze at the cross connected to the bell tower. Nearby was a 60-meter tower Svyatoslav. It was named in honor of Prince Svyatoslav of Kiev, who died at the hands of Polovtsian on the banks of the Dnieper.

Family Prince Vorontsov been here arrivals. When they arrived, the love to invite guests, using the top of the tower and lit the lamp installed on it. The tower was destroyed by the Germans in 1943.
