Monument shipbuilders

In honor of the 200th anniversary of Nikolayev September 5, 1989 was a monument to shipbuilders. This is a very unusual monument. The authors of the sculptures were masters of Kiev.

The monument was erected on an artificial mound. It is a composite of several elements. All of them have a symbolic meaning. Globe clings on three grounds. These granite support symbolize the three shipyards city. Surrounds the ball 11 bronze figures shipbuilders different eras. It turned out quite interesting!

No less interesting and full name of the monument - Monument "shipbuilders and naval commanders in commemoration of the bicentennial of labor Nikolaev shipbuilders: 1789-1989 gg." This name may well claim a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
