Museum-Estate handicrafts, Putyla

Prominent writer and public figure Yuri Fedkovich born in the town Putila. In memory of local residents organized a memorial museum Fedkovych in the tribal estate of the famous writer. Collection Memorial Museum
The museum exhibition occupies the entire house and yard estates. It introduces visitors to the life and work of Fedkovych, interior recreates the atmosphere of the first half of the 19th century. Copies of publications exhibited works of the writer, his personal things from different periods of life, such as childhood in Putila, service in the Austrian army, work and life in Chernivtsi.
Particular attention is drawn to furniture estates. We know that Fedkovych descended from the noble family that, in fact, confirmed by the elegance of the interior and the high cost of manufacturing. The pride of the museum is preserved well, which operates in the courtyard of the museum from the time when the writer lived there.
History museum Fedkovych
The original tribal handicrafts manor gentry did not survive - it burned. However, in 1974, was restored exactly according to the pictures and the works of the author, but without the outbuildings. Then in the estate opened memorial museum. Now it is a branch of Chernivtsi Memorial Museum Fedkovych.
How to get to the museum
The museum is located at ul. Fedkovych, 21, in the center of town. By Putila can be reached by bus from Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Vyzhnytsia. Own transport is easily accessible, but the quality of roads in autumn and spring is quite questionable.
Hours Memorial Museum-Estate Fedkovych, open to the public from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekends on Saturday and Monday. Please note that from 13:00 to 14:00 at a school lunch break.
Entrance for adults is 10 USD, for students - and 6 USD for children - 4 UAH.
