The Church of Jesus Christ of Entry into Jerusalem, Old Uhryniv
Many churches around the world have the same name. One of these is the church of Entry of the Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, located in the village of Old Uhryniv.
Wooden Greek Catholic Temple was built in 1820. The church has several entrances, the main one is in the form of an arch, on either side of it are the icons of Birth and Ascension of Jesus Christ. Window openings also resemble different arch sizes. Dome in the form of faceted bulbs crowned crosses. The church is more like a merchant or boyars Chamber hut, and the set of peaks further emphasizes this similarity. Near the temple is a low bell tower.
In the First World War the church was an enemy shell. Temple burned to the ground. Ten years later it was rebuilt.
On the wall of the temple there is a bas-relief with a commemorative plaque, which tells that once the rules are service priest named Bandera. It was the father of the UPA leader Stepan Bandera.
