Halytsky National Nature Park

What could be more worthy of attention and protection than the unique forests and forest-steppe natural complexes Prykarpattia? On the territory of Galitsky National Park conducted research projects, as well as being an active environmental education and tourism activities.

Mild winter thaws and warm summers in this region is ideal for year round visiting the national park. It grows 45 rare plant species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. Of special interest to visit are unique beech forests, karst cliffs and caves on the left bank Lomnica. Very interesting and oak groves, and wetland tract, and deep karst lake Simlyn.

Lovers of fauna can be found on the territory of Galich deer park, foxes, roe deer, wild boars, badgers, water rats, etc. You can even meet a bear brown, wild cat and the European mink. In the waters of the park live 85 species of birds. And in a local cave inhabited by a large colony of bats.
