Thumbelina in an amusement park, Rovno

Is not known when exactly the first fountain appeared. But researchers Stetsky records and Teodorovich have information that fountains, pavilions and artificial caves were on the estate Lubomirski. Now it is the so-called "Lebedynky" .

History of present fountains, among which are "Thumbelina" begins in the 60s. In the Soviet Union there was an interesting rule: a few thousand people fell a fountain. After all park stretched deep anti-tank ditch. In its place, in 1962 a group of teachers from the Ukrainian Institute of Engineers of Water Resources set up a cascade of artificial lakes and fountains, "Hercules" , "Thumbelina" and "Stone Flower", which was unfortunately destroyed.

Now "Thumbelina" trying to recover, and in June 2013, the fountain installed gazebo for lovers, which has become another symbol of Rivne.
