Church of St. Demetrios in a small village Tatars built in 1870. Built a temple in honor of the righteous martyr Dmitri Slutsky. The author of the project of the church was made by architect F. Menchinskaya.

Church in Tatariv   refers to the original works of famous Hutsul folk architecture school. Wooden church has a small footprint and a cruciform layout. The roof of the temple is made of shingles - a building material. On the walls of the temple have survived paintings of the 19th century. Rather large iconostasis consists of five tiers and painted by local artist A. Orzechowski.

The church is in the cemetery, overlooking the roadway. In this cemetery can be found ancient monuments and burial crypts. Above all this stands a huge crucifix, which is well seen outside the church grounds. On all sides surrounded by a low stone temple guard. Entrance to the church area is possible through the central gate that during the day is always open to parishioners.
