Memorial to soldiers artillery, Genicheska Hill

The memorial sign dedicated to the soldiers of the artillery 127 Infantry Division, stands in Genichesk Gorka.

History

It now Henichesk - quiet resort town. And the World here there were bloody battles.

The fighting took place near the village of Camara (now Defense) on Mekenzievy mountains in Qamishli and Belbeksky Valley.

The soldiers German troops held back, not letting them go to the Crimean peninsula. These fights Soviet Infantry Division lost more than 90% of personnel.

In 1970, with the filing Henichesk Jam teacher Sevastopol Instrument Making Institute Verzhbitsky MM was built a modern memorial to soldiers of the artillery. Beside him stands the church.

Memorial itself - a large curved wall, which is set at 122 mm howitzer model 1939.
