Lake Superior

Lake Superior is in Rakhiv region at an altitude of over 1,600 meters above sea level. Clean, mineralized water like a mirror reflects the massive blue sky, giving the impression of a huge portal. The place where comfortably settled lake beckons its pristine beauty. It is not difficult to find in the south-western slope of the main ridge of the Montenegrin within the reserve area.

The depth of the lake in the 3-meter will not surprise you, but it certainly hit the water temperature - summer maximum is chosen only to around 13. But in winter, this place is perfect for skating. And you can be absolutely calm - water freezes completely to the bottom. Shore littered with the debris of conglomerates, and the very bottom is covered with a layer of light gray mud. Because the beach season is not opened. It feeds the lake precipitation.

To get to this amazing place can be advantageously under its own power. For example, a route to it to perfect the Carpathians. Or purposefully go to the nearest town - the village Goverla - for a few days to explore the beautiful nature of the lake.

Lake Superior is surrounded by majestic mountains, including Goverla and spacious meadows and other water bodies.
