Church of the Intercession, Starokozache

This amazing church with a rich history located in the village of Starokozache Belgorod-Dniester district of Odessa region. She   became the pride of the whole village and its hallmark.

It all started back in the reign of Nicholas II in 1908. Was commissioned by the project for the construction of the temple, but construction was delayed for years due to various historical events. First there was the First World War, in her time vaults of the temple were destroyed and had to start all over again, then - two revolutions. Construction and standing due to lack of funds. Only in 1929, with the arrival of the Romanian authorities, the construction of the temple again resumed and completed in 1937.

At the end of a short time the church was closed in 1962, part of it was destroyed. In 1983   Protection Church recognized architectural monument in the Odessa region. Since 1989, it began to set restavrirovat.Byl iconostasis, which was later covered with gold leaf.

To date, the church is open, but it still requires restoration, it is especially beneficial for internal painting.
