Walk of Fame, Zaporozhye

Symbolic Walk of Fame today are popular in all countries of the former Soviet Union. Few people know that   such tradition came precisely from Zaporozhye .

From ancient times, the Ukrainians were taken from homes to plant oaks, is brought into the house of happiness and good luck. So decided to do in Odessa. On the day of the 20th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, 38 war heroes who defend and indemnify Zaporizhzhya region, solemnly planted an oak alley. Monument is unique in that it is   most peaceful monument   all of which are dedicated to the heroes of the war. Distinguishes it has what it everlasting. Oaks will grow for many years and remind residents of Zaporozhye of woe of war and the joy of victory.

In 1973 the alley and continued to the other side of the street. Nowadays Walk of Fame has a developed infrastructure, equipped with plenty of benches and seating areas, walkways lined with modern tiles. Now it is a favorite vacation spot of young mothers city, children and all citizens.
