Church of the Resurrection, Swan
In the Sumy region there are many churches, some of them wooden. The oldest of them is located in the Lebedyn . Resurrection Church was built in the second half of the 18th century and has undergone many changes. Initially, the temple was completed three-headed with a separate bell tower. Later it rebuilt in the shape of a cross with five octagonal domes and the outside of the vertical wheel wood, which gave a special kind of building. Some time later, the church and bell tower joined.
According to one local legend, during the Battle of Poltava Ascension Church visited the Emperor Peter I. In the 30 years of the 20th century, the church was closed, the bell tower was destroyed and ravaged the interior and the iconostasis on fire. The room began to be used as a warehouse.
