Church of the Intercession, Swan

Church of the Intercession in Swan - architectural monument of the city in need of restoration. The exact date of construction is unknown, but mention in archival documents make it possible to assume that it was in the 18th century. Today it carried out the restoration work.

Protection Church History

Cupola stone church was built in the 18th century in the western outskirts of town. The exact date of construction is unknown, but according to archival documents shows that in 1777, it has been subject to repair.

In 1875, was rebuilt by architect F. Danilov. In Soviet times the church was closed and abandoned. In 1986 the church saved from demolition TI Kapran and VN Lobyntseva.

Today it is carried out restoration work. The temple is built of brick, dome, has a cubic volume of the central rectangular altar apse and the same shape and size porch.
