Manor Shcherbin, Babai
In the village of Babai are the remains of the once majestic manor Scherbinin family. Age of the estate exceeds 200 years. It was originally owned by a local priest Ya Pravitskogo.
From the 19th century manor passed into the possession of family Scherbinin. The house does not just stop Gregory Savovic Pan. He liked to not only stay here, but also create their immortal works. Family dealt with outstanding personalities such as Pushkin and Tolstoy.
Today the manor Scherbinin ranked among the historical monuments of Ukraine and, possibly, if it restore, would be proud Slobozhanshchina. From the original form of the one-story house remained. Previously, it was surrounded by a lovely garden and ponds. Some places are still visible Masonic signs, because one of Scherbinin joined a secret society. Several rooms are used, and the rest destroyed by time and weather.
