People`s History Museum in Chernyahove
People`s History Museum is located in the small town of Chernyakhiv . The village is the administrative center of the district and is just 25 kilometers from the Zhitomir . The first mention of Chernyahove known since 1545. At that time the area was rural and we think about it during the uprising Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. That`s when the village became a squadron town. Then Chernyakhiv was captured by the Poles, like the rest of Right-Bank Ukraine. Local residents have suffered looting and harassment of the gentry.
