St. Nicholas Church in Radomyshle
Church of St. Nicholas in Radomyshl founded in 1864. The history of its construction is closely linked to the history of the Cathedral of St. Vladimir in Kiev. Mural in the church engaged Svidomsky P. and B. Kotarbinsky - followers of the Russian artist Vasnetsov, who worked together with the Kiev craftsmen to paint icons. It is supposed that the church of St. Nicholas was a special workshop for young artists as a shrine decorated with paintings based on sketches by Vladimir Cathedral. Bells for relics were brought from Moscow.
During the Soviet period the church room was used as a warehouse for grain. At the same time, and the bell tower was destroyed.
During the restoration of the temple in 1998, the bell tower, originally gilded, was restored, but in a shortened form. The pride of the church is the miraculous icon of the Mother of God.
Today, St. Nicholas Church is open to all parishioners of the Orthodox faith.
