Peter`s Church, Ternopil

Church of St. Peter the Apostle in Ternopil is a jewel of the city. Construction of the temple began already during Ukraine`s independence in 1998. This is the Catholic Church of the Order of Friars Minor Franciscans, named in honor of the Apostle Peter.

Temple of the Apostle Peter is on the street of Vladimir the Great. Church unusual for Ukrainians forms seen from afar. People come here not only believers, but also ordinary tourists. Peter`s church became famous throughout Ukraine, first of all, thanks to nativity scenes. It is set in the temple since 2005. Vertepnoy composition is considered the largest in Ukraine, every year it attracts thousands of tourists and believing.

Across the street is the Monastery of the Nativity of Our Lady of the Order of Friars Minor.
