Thus, the hero Gastello with their lives destroyed dozens of pieces of military equipment and military point of Hitler`s army.
Pilot-Komsomol 81 th Regiment managed to repeat the heroic feat during the Battle of the Dnieper in 1941. In place of the modern factory Quay enemy concentrated military vehicles, heavy artillery and dozens of tanks for a future crossing to the left bank. It is this accumulation of the falling aircraft destroyed Komsomol, accidentally shot down an enemy during a combat mission.
