Vinnytsia Oblast Philharmonic

From 1908 to 1937, the development of musical creativity Vinnitsa engaged in a variety of organizations. In 1937 a significant event happened - under one roof and one name came together several organizations, giving rise to the Vinnytsia Regional Philharmonic. The new organization retained the right to control and organize all the concerts of artists and musicians.

History Regional Philharmonic

Almost simultaneously in Vinnitsa come prominent artists such as M. Grishko, C and D. Petrusenko Gaidai, accompanied by a symphony orchestra. One year after the foundation Philharmonic began touring across Ukraine and Russia.

During the Second World War Philharmonic traveled from one edge to the other, and strength of voice and the words of the song raised the morale of fighters and confirmed that to win you have to do everything. After liberation from the occupation continued Philharmonic concerts.

Interesting Facts

With the support of the city administration and sponsors Philharmonic holds a number of festivals and competitions ("Umbrella Music" and "Zhmerinsky tuning fork"). It became a regular international festival named P. I. Tchaikovsky and NF von Meck.
