Just 20 kilometers from Kamenetz-Podolsk is the village Kukavka. The first mention of the village in the documents related to 1661.

History of Demetrius Church

Surprisingly, it was built in 1806 in the village of Demetrius church is well preserved until today. The money allocated for the construction of the temple of the village owner Earl I. Morkov. Erected a church congregation surprised two large columned porticoes with gables in the form of a triangle, while the other two were smaller in size. The peculiarity of the church were icons of the famous artist VATropinin, a former farmer Earl.
